Avicenna’s AviTracks™ 3.0 Expands Specialties, Add Features

Ann Arbor, MI – April 28, 2008 – Avicenna Medical Systems, a provider of electronic medical procedure documentation and chronic disease management software, announced today that it has completed its latest release of AviTracks™ disease management software. The AviTracks™ 3.0 delivers important new functionality while broadening its coverage to practically any medical specialty.

AviTracks™ 3.0 includes the following new features and enhancements:

  • Ability to manage patients across multiple medical specialties with customized user interfaces
  • Medication Management plans individualized by patient or medication
  • Risk stratification tools to identify high-risk patients for closer monitoring
  • Improved enrollment process:
    • Automatically alerts providers to potentially dangerous drug interactions
    • Suggestion messages for dosing and important reminders
  • Ability to track lab results both before and after drug infusions
  • Automatic reminders to providers to hold or resume medications according to specific clinical needs
