Accountable care organizations may replace the fee-for-service model. Here's why that's concerning:  CMS plans to enroll everyone in this new model by the end of this decade--and as early as next year, in some cases--without prior consent. 

The healthcare sector turned cautious in the first three months of 2022, completing 34% fewer deals than in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to a report from KPMG

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) outlined an action plan that demonstrates the Biden-Harris Administration’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality, affordable health care for all people, regardless of their background, and to drive health equity across the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). 

An open-access, peer-reviewed essay published in the Journal of Medical Systems summarizes the goals and values that AI—also often called artificial intelligence—should help advance in health care. It turns out they aren’t new. Physicians have known them for years as the Quadruple aim.
